Fun Family St. Patrick’s Day Activities
By St. Patrick’s Day, here in Canada anyways, we all have a hefty case of cabin fever. Unfortunately sometimes the weather isn’t quite ready for spring yet. Take advantage of the luck of the Irish and make up some fun things to do with the kids.
Green food die goes a long way. You can put it in homemade play dough, in cupcake mix or milk as well as lots of other fun things you can think of. Baking is always a favorite of every kid that I’ve ever met.
Scavenger hunts are a great idea too. You could easily grab a small pot with some chocolate money from the dollar store to make your own pot of gold. Leave clues in different areas in the house to lead your children to the end of the rainbow. If you can’t think of good indoor scavenger hunt clues, just Google it – you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, there are lots of great posts that you can just apply for yourself.
For those of you who enjoyed Elf on a Shelf – Leprechaun’s are a magical creature that usually folks can’t see or catch…you could easily leave Leprechaun trails around the house with little four leaf clovers, green glitter or footsteps to create a similar experience with a magical end on St. Patrick’s Day.
Have fun & keep that cabin fever at bay just a bit longer – spring is almost here!!!
